Melinda Rogers

Chief Information Officer, U.S. Department of Justice

We may not have started the fire, but Melinda Rogers is here to put it out. Her diligence and reputation in building and leading cohesive cross-functional teams and delivering complex programs make her a “go-to” for critical implementations. She has managed and implemented IT and cybersecurity solutions in the U.S. health and financial services sectors – two of the most vulnerable and targeted areas – while working across the federal government on security matters, coordinating efforts in influencing policy, addressing threats, and establishing capabilities. She’s championed Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation and fanned the fire for the Department of Homeland Security’s CDM program.

As the Department of Justice’s CIO, Melinda oversees the department’s $3.1 billion Information Technology (IT) portfolio and provides strategic direction to DOJ components directly supporting mission operations through IT service delivery. She is also in charge of the department’s cybersecurity program, which proactively mitigates and monitors risks associated with the management, security, and acquisition of DOJ technology assets. Joining DOJ from Equifax, where she was Assistant Vice President for Fraud Prevention and Identity Verification Solutions, she quickly climbed the ranks from DOJ’s CISO to her current role.
